They called themselves the Thalmesata and came from another planet in the spiral arm of the galaxy. Their massive battle globe descended over Des Moines, destroying it in the process. They then declared the Earth to be theirs, wiping out multiple cities worldwide to demonstrate their superiority. Humans, being what and who they are, promptly blew the invaders' ship, and all those aboard, to dust. Well, almost all, all but two, Phenntta and Tesska. Then, as humans also tend to do, they rewarded these two remaining aliens with jobs, wealth, freedom, and a life they had only dreamt of. But what do you do when their cousins come calling, wondering what happened to their relatives that came before?Bentley was a nerd. Picked on by bullies in public school, and lacking social grace as an adult, still, he was able to see profit and advancement where others only saw war and chaos. While the nations of Earth built dreadnoughts to blow the Thalmesatians to hell, Bentley built trading ships to get exclusive contracts and, on the side, a non-aggression treaty between Thal and Earth. The problem was that the Ruler controlling the enemy's ship just wouldn't cooperate. So Bentley had to change his plans and get the massive battle globe to surrender. Okay, the alien ship had weapons of mass destruction that made his ship's armaments look like toys, and yes, he only had two small diplomatic spaceships. But if the Thalmesatians wouldn't listen to reason, they would just have to deal with being at a disadvantage. This is a classic Space Opera Science Fiction novel of Alien First Contact & Galactic Empire with Epic Space Battles, Desperate Last Stands, & Hot Alien Romance.
